In 2013 Oasis Dental responded to spiraling indemnity insurance costs by approaching Lockton and trying to obtain a better deal for their clients.

2014 saw the launch of Oasis Indemnity, a company supported by the top rated insurer, Royal and Sun Alliance Insurance Ltd, alongside our experienced dental-legal advisor, Dr Paul Lambden.

2016 was time to expand our team and set up in the heart of Manchester, allowing us to cover the UK and prepare ourselves for expansion in the future.

We attracted our 500th dentist in 2016 before expanding our advisory team to three dentists who all had legal qualifications. They knew dentistry inside and out, which helped them understand what our clients wanted and needed.

With Oasis’ blessing, we began launching Densura! We could start offering our market-leading products to other dental groups across the UK. It was an exciting time!

After this, we quickly began expanding our Business Development team and launched our online application form, making applying much easier for our clients.

At this point, we had a ten-strong team of Dental Advisors and 1,000 dentist clients! We continued to attend sector events – including Roderick’s Dental ‘Starter Days’, the Dental Forum, and the MyDentist Clinical Conference. This time, we offered several training sessions focused on managing risk.

Even in the face of COVID-19, we continued to innovate and improve our offering – we expanded Densura to the broader dental market, including those who didn’t work in corporates and hygienists. We also introduced a state-of-the-art CPD platform to help educate our clients.

Finally, we launched our new website in 2022 where you can find out everything you need to know about our cover and access all of our educational and business resources. The site now features an education hub for the whole dental community, so everything sits in one place.

Excitingly, we also launched The Dentrepreneurs – an exclusive club for Densura clients interested in growing professionally and expanding their networks in a collegiate environment.

And here we are today! The Densura everyone knows and loves, always striving to find our clients the best possible cover.
